Bible Chat · Last updated 15 July 2026

Bible Chat ("the app", "we", "us") is a personal Bible‑study companion. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed the app to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross‑app advertising or tracking.

Service providers

We rely on trusted providers to run the app: Google Firebase (authentication, database, notifications, analytics) and Google Cloud Vertex AI (AI chat generation), plus Apple and RevenueCat (subscription processing). Each processes data only to provide its service.

Your AI processing choice

AI chat is optional. Before the first message is sent, the app explains this processing and asks for your permission. You can withdraw permission from the shield button in Chat. Withdrawing permission prevents new messages from being sent; you can still use the offline Bible, plans, devotionals, and prayer journal. You can delete individual conversations in Chat or delete your account and all associated data from Profile.

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Subscription status is shared with us so we can unlock premium features.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data until you delete it. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, prayers, saved verses, and chat history from our systems.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
